The Mariachi Brass was an American 1960s easy listening and studio project created by World Pacific Records. The project was specifically formed to capitalize on the massive commercial success of Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, who had popularized the "Ameriachi" sound at the time.The group is famous because legendary jazz trumpeter Chet Baker was hired to play the lead trumpet parts and provide occasional vocals. .
