Hailing from South Punjab’s vibrant city of Vehari, Tahir Abbas holds a diploma in “Classical Music” from Karachi Arts Council and a diploma in “Music” from Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), and Masters in Philosophy of Art from Punjab University Lahore.
Tahir Abbas started proper music learning at Karachi Arts Council in 2009.After completing his bachelor in International Relations, Sociology and Economics from Karachi University in 2011, Tahir Abbas moved to Lahore for the first time in his life.
Tahir Abbas released his first video of Punjabi parody song “Chak De Phattey” written by one-and-only Dr Younus Butt, which broke the internet as it garnered millions of views within no time. Tahir Abbas released from India his first original single song “Dhola”- a mixture of old folk and modern music-
Tahir Abbas has certainly created waves on the music scene with his rendition to the famous Punjabi song “Rusya Na ker” The song has trended on YouTube in the subcontinent with nearly 200 million views overall.
Then Tahir Abbas released album "Funk Folk '' The songs of this album were Multan, Motorway, Pyaar and Inkaar. After success of Funk Folk Tahir released his solo cover song named Zindagi.
Tahir also released a song for PSL named Khelo re . He sung in four languages Sindhi Pashto Punjabi Balochi. It was first time in the history of Pakistan that a song for PSL with four languages and culture presentation. Recently Tahir has received Silver Button from YouTube.
