Die Toten Hosen are a German punk rock band formed in Düsseldorf. The name derives from the German slang expression "tote Hose" (literally "dead trousers"), a phrase meaning that nothing is happening or that something is boring. The group has achieved long-term commercial success and has developed a dedicated fan base in Europe and South America, especially in Germany and Argentina.
